BRINGING CLARITY, CALM, AND CONFIDENCE TO THE COLLEGE PLANNING PROCESS

I PARTNER WITH FAMILIES WHO WANT A THOUGHTFUL AND BALANCED APPROACH TO THEIR COLLEGE PLANNING NEEDS, AND WHO WANT TO EMPOWER THEIR TEENS TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF THE PROCESS.
COLLEGE CONSULTING SERVICES
I consider the college planning process a success when families feel informed and supported, and when we work together through careful research, balanced list building, and authentic essay development so that students end up with a number of positive outcomes that are financial, academic, and social fits. Most importantly, they feel more confident and empowered than when they started, with expanded skills and self-knowledge to start their next chapter.

TELLING YOUR STORY
(Juniors and Seniors)
Available to start May of junior year- September of senior year.
Many families feel confident to manage the overall college planning process independently, but look to external support for the essay writing component. This package is designed to guide students as they craft an authentic personal statement that captures their unique voice and tells a compelling story about their life experiences and their future goals.
My structured process moves clients through in-depth brainstorming, content development, structural revisions, and final polishes. The package supports the development and three revisions of the main personal statement, and two revisions of supplemental essays for up to eight applications that require additional essays. It includes up to eight hours, divided between meetings and asynchronous editing support.

Clients opting for this package must be able to allocate focused availability over a two-week period to develop and complete the main personal statement, preferably before the start of senior year. Parent(s) must be available for one family meeting at the start of the essay writing. Supplemental essays will be developed based on the final college list and application deadlines. Clients wanting support beyond eight unique applications can opt for hourly support as needed.
